About the role

Forward Deployed Engineer role at Factory responsible for leading high-impact customer implementations, integrating Factory’s platform into client environments, and influencing product direction through close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and integration of Factory’s platform into customer engineering environments, designing robust workflows and building long-term partnerships
  • Act as the CEO's primary technical lead on customer engagements, traveling on-site to drive rapid product adoption and reduce time-to-value
  • Lead special engineering projects that expand Factory’s product capabilities and influence the product roadmap
  • Respond rapidly to customer needs, including integrating with new systems, troubleshooting critical issues, and innovating to solve customer problems
  • Deeply understand customers’ use cases and develop tooling and documentation to support growth at scale
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations to translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements and implement enhancements swiftly
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest software development practices, tools, and technologies to keep Factory at the forefront of automation and AI in engineering

Qualifications

  • 3-10 years of experience, preferably with a background at innovative AI/software engineering companies
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and proficiency across a broad tech stack
  • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving technical challenges in customer-facing roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Motivation to learn, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
