About the role

Senior Embedded Software Engineer position focused on Pixel Phone security, developing and hardening embedded software and firmware, with responsibilities spanning design, testing infrastructure, and vulnerability mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Work on next generation Pixel security designs and projects.
  • Harden embedded system software components critical to Pixel security.
  • Develop embedded security software features for current and future Pixel devices.
  • Improve infrastructures for testing and Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • Experience in embedded software/firmware design, device driver development, and Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)/embedded OS environment.
  • Experience in low-level systems programming languages (e.g., C++ or C).
