About the role

Software engineer role focused on ML for Search Ads Creatives within Google's Ads ecosystem, with emphasis on GenAI techniques, scalable ML infrastructure, and collaboration across Product, Sales, Marketing, and platform teams. Role involves leading technical strategy, delivering end-to-end solutions, and improving ad quality and ROI at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an environment that embraces automation of ad creation while keeping a strict oversight of advertiser constraints and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Drive 10x product adoption and creative thinking on “finding” or building the right quality, extraction, data models and data-driven execution.
  • Build scalable end-to-end infrastructure that can serve under tight latency and freshness constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with organization partners and tech stack (e.g., prediction, auction, data flow), and key stakeholders to help identify the right solution, while taking on TL responsibilities such as setting the roadmap, goal, and cross-team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Refine user and advertiser experiences to find one that meets their needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, data structures, and algorithms.
  • 8 years of experience with ML/AI algorithms, tools, deep learning, or other AI/ML modeling.
  • 8 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 5 years with software design and architecture.
  • 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine-tuning).
  • 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, multimodal, vision models) or GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
