About the role

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services role focused on transforming enterprise applications into modern, cloud-native solutions and guiding customers through modernization and migration to Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex software development challenges.
  • Deliver modern software to Google’s customers, including creating and executing enterprise application transformation and migration strategies.
  • Recommend approaches and estimated effort for application migration and modernization programs.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
  • Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience leading enterprise application portfolios and associated technologies (e.g., VMWare, Openshift, Kubernetes).
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
