About the role
Software engineer role focused on delivering new navigation, search, and AI features for Google Maps on CarPlay within Google’s Geo team, with opportunities to work across full-stack and lead others on the team.
Responsibilities
- Work full-stack or across surfaces where needed to deliver features end-to-end.
- Deliver new navigation, search, and AI features for Google Maps on CarPlay.
- Manage the full software lifecycle, collaborating with PM and UX to define requirements.
- Design the implementation of new functionality, liaising with experienced executive developers.
- Lead other engineers on the team in projects they are responsible for.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience with iOS application development.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
