About the role

Software Engineer III role focused on AI/ML for YouTube Shopping Creator, with emphasis on designing and deploying ML/AI-driven models and systems that integrate LLMs and AI technologies to power intelligent recommendations and creator/shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of innovative ML/AI-driven models and features.
  • Architect and build systems that deeply integrate LLMs and other AI technologies to provide intelligent recommendations.
  • Drive integrations across multiple product partners; lead by strong collaborations and partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Data Scientists, and other engineering teams to define and deliver the roadmap for ML/AI capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C++ and Python, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
  • 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: LLM systems, Speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
