About the role
Data Center team designs and operates complex electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. The role focuses on facilities management within Google data centers, including operation, maintenance, cost optimization, and safety/compliance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute campus operational budgets and expense forecasting, and manage established budgets.
- Set strategy and plan deployments across multiple sites.
- Lead efforts to integrate Google-wide strategy and execution with internal and external business partners.
- Create strategy for cost-effective operations, focused on total cost of ownership.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and innovation in approaching traditional data center and emergent issues.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in critical facilities management, including facility, technical and team management.
- Experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer within a critical facility.
- Experience managing mission critical facilities portfolio.
