About the role

Software Engineer role on the Gemini Everywhere team within the GeminiApp organization (DeepMind) focused on making the Gemini experience ambient across Android OS, Chrome platform, and across surfaces, solving user problems with cutting edge AI solutions, and building consumer-facing products and features across web, mobile, and backend services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy high-quality consumer product features across web, mobile (Android/iOS), or backend services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and research teams to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical solutions.
  • Develop simple, reusable, and scalable code libraries and frameworks to accelerate product development.
  • Iterate on product prototypes and features, balancing development velocity with a high standard of code quality and craft.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with software development in one or more: Web (JavaScript/TypeScript, React), iOS (Swift, Objective-C), Android (Kotlin, Java), backend or ML services.
  • Experience building and shipping consumer-facing software products.
