About the role
Google Pay Server software engineer role focusing on building and maintaining back-end systems at scale for Google Pay services, with opportunities to contribute across full-stack and developer tooling.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain mission-critical back-end systems operating at high consumer scale (e.g., millions of users, high QPS, and low latency).
- Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging AI-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, like Java, Kotlin, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
