About the role

Google software engineer role focused on developing customer-facing features, improving infrastructure, and contributing to a distributed storage system within Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for developing many new customer facing features critical for meeting product business roadmap, as well as enhancing existing infrastructures for better reliability and new requirements.
  • Work with peers from other aspects of the product development lifecycle, including all filesystem engineering teams, program management, CP, DP, SRE, UX/UI.
  • Participate in the development of new features, infrastructure, and performance improvements in a complex distributed and performance sensitive system.
  • Help grow and mentor the team, be a part of a well-experienced group and impact the critical architecture and design decisions.
  • Work with product and customers, to best fit future requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
