About the role
Product Design Engineer for Google Pixel Hearables. Design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts for next-generation Pixel Earbuds within a manufacturing and product-oriented development environment. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver integrated electro-mechanical subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Design a complex subsystem or multiple moderately complex individual parts from concept to production.
- Collaborate with suppliers of subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process.
- Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions.
- Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 3 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
