About the role

Google software engineer role focused on building and operating core components of Google Pay's card tokenization platform, with cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to work across full-stack development.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate core components of Google Pay's card tokenization platform, including the token provisioning journey, card lifecycle management, and the transaction processing engine.
  • Build features end-to-end, including Flutter-based user interfaces and backend systems (Server Platform, Spanner) for secure token routing and payments state management.
  • Work with PM, TPM, Analytics, network partners (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), and other Engineering teams to build tokenized card features from the ground up.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
