About the role
Senior software engineering role focused on building frontend and backend systems for YouTube advertising, with emphasis on AI/ML integration, scale, and cross-functional collaboration across Google Ads and related teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on projects.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or Large Language Model (LLM) interfaces into workflows.
