About the role

Software engineering role at Google Health focusing on building scalable systems and agentic architecture to ground Coach responses in users’ health and biometric data, with opportunities to influence product direction and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement agentic architecture, tools, and features that enable scalable, low-latency data access and analysis to ground Coach responses in users’ longitudinal health, biometric, and fitness data.
  • Write production-grade code and evals to enable secure data retrieval layers and investigative tools.
  • Identify product gaps and suggest feature enhancements that drive user value, while proposing architectural code improvements for long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, and frontend engineers to refine the user experience and resolve cross-functional technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers, and conduct design and code reviews to maintain engineering standards within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, or Go).
