About the role

Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leading service technicians in installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, designing solutions for difficult problems, and mentoring technicians within Amazon's Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment, such as Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems
  • Lead a team of service technicians and develop training plans, as well as oversee vendors making planned and emergency repairs
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
  • Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used, as well as develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
  • 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
  • 4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
  • 4+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience
  • 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
  • 4+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
  • Currently hold's an active and unrestricted, or have the ability to obtain a pharmacy technician license in domicile state
