About the role

Amazon Ads Legal Associate Corporate Counsel to advise on a range of legal matters for IMDb and emerging AI initiatives, draft and negotiate contracts, provide practical guidance, and contribute to scalable legal frameworks across Amazon Ads.

Responsibilities

  • Assess Amazon Ads product and service proposals against regulatory requirements, AI transparency obligations, privacy promises, and other legal considerations.
  • Learn the ins, outs, nuts, and bolts of how clients' products and services work at a technical level to enable surgically precise legal advice.
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to internal stakeholders by researching and interpreting applicable statutes, regulations, and case law to support sound decision-making.
  • Identify and assess legal risks across projects and programs, recommending mitigation strategies and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize legal processes, develop best practices, and create templates or playbooks that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring terms appropriately protect the organization while enabling business objectives.
  • Prepare and organize legal documentation to comply with professional standards and guidelines, and support program management efforts by tracking progress and communicating priorities to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • 2+ years of post bar admission legal experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
