About the role

Software engineer in the Compiler team for AWS Neuron at Annapurna Labs, responsible for building the next generation Neuron compiler to transform ML models into optimized implementations for AWS Inferentia and Trainium accelerators, collaborating with chip architects and ML teams to maximize performance and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software to transform Neuron compiler performance, stability and user-interface.
  • Collaborate with chip architects, runtime/OS engineers, scientists and ML Apps teams to deploy ML models on AWS accelerators with optimal cost/performance.
  • Work with open-source toolchains (StableHLO, OpenXLA, MLIR) to optimize ML workloads on AWS software/hardware.
  • Build features delivering best possible experiences for developers worldwide.
  • Create compiler optimization and verification passes; surface features and peculiarities of AWS accelerators to developers; build tools to analyze numerical errors; diagnose and fix compiler defects.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Required:Object-oriented programming (C++/Java)
