About the role
Delivery Consultant to design, implement, and manage AWS migration solutions for large enterprise data centre exit programs, guiding migration strategy, wave planning, risk management, and adherence to AWS Well-Architected principles.
Responsibilities
- Own Portfolio Assessment for assigned application estates (1,000+ servers), scoring apps across dimensions from Technical Designs and CMDB data
- Apply the migration decision tree to assign R-strategies (Rehost/Replatform/Refactor/Retire/Retain/Relocate) and document rationale in Architecture Decision Records
- Build and maintain dependency maps using applications, resolving conflicting data between tooling output and application owner interviews
- Design wave plans: group applications by dependency, balance capacity, respect regulatory frozen zones, and coordinate across geographies
- Run Tech Bridge sessions with customer application owners to validate disposition decisions and unblock migration paths
- Feed wave planning into AWS Transform, ensuring move groups are sized, sequenced, and ready for factory execution
- Proactively identify and escalate risks to wave timelines — then propose and drive mitigations before they become blockers
- Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Replatform teams to ensure cross-cutting dependencies are addressed in wave sequencing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of IT infrastructure implementation experience, including network, compute, storage and virtualization
- Hands-on experience implementing enterprise and hybrid networks (e.g., routing, BGP, segmentation, firewalling, load balancing, DNS)
- Experience connecting cloud and on-premises environments (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway)
- Infrastructure automation and scripting experience (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, PowerShell)
- Linux and Windows systems administration in cloud or virtualized environments
- Fluent English, written and spoken
