About the role

Senior software engineer role for Amazon’s Project Leo Customer Terminals team. Responsible for design, implementation, deployment and operations of embedded software for Leo Customer Terminals on embedded Linux, using languages such as Rust, C++, and C within a secure compute environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development and testing with embedded Linux
  • Develop embedded software functions for Customer Terminal devices within the Project Leo system
  • Developing embedded software utilizing Rust, C++, C
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC: requirements, design, coding, test, deployment and production system
  • Development of software in a secure compute environment
  • State machine design and analysis
  • Support Customer Terminal deployments operations and debugging on production systems
  • Technical writing of design specifications

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

  • The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
