About the role

Seasoned tech leader to own and operate core technology services that manage translated content across Amazon and its subsidiaries, leading a team to build high-performance, large-scale language translation services and drive end-to-end product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to deliver innovation at scale for Amazon's global customers
  • Own and operate core technology services that manage translated content across all of Amazon and its subsidiaries
  • Drive the entire product life-cycle from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch
  • Determine and manage technical direction, ensure smooth product execution, and cultivate stakeholder relationships

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
