About the role

Software Development Engineer to build new v1 services and contribute to Health-related AWS AI healthcare products (HealthLake, Comprehend Medical, HealthScribe). Focus on scalable cloud-based healthcare AI software, collaborating with product managers, scientists, and engineers to deliver outcomes that improve healthcare delivery and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, efficient software systems for healthcare AI services
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code for cloud-based healthcare applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, applied scientists, and other engineers to implement product features
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Help maintain operational excellence and compliance with industry standards
  • Work on data processing, analytics, and machine learning systems for healthcare applications
  • Contribute to technical discussions and help drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
