About the role
Senior SDE role within AWS Marketplace Search, focused on end-to-end product and system architecture, with potential to influence feature direction and build innovative buyer experiences (including AI-driven systems) to improve discovery, procurement, and overall marketplace experience.
Responsibilities
- Own significant portions of the product and influence strategy by defining the next wave of features and system architecture.
- Build innovative buyer experiences—from traditional search and discovery interfaces to agentic AI driven systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to deliver high-quality software and achieve operational excellence.
- Contribute to design and implementation in a customer-centric environment and help scale complex systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
