About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Regional Transportation Manager for APAC to manage day-to-day transportation operations, vendor relationships, and process improvements within AWS Cloud Logistics, ensuring safety compliance and cost efficiency across multiple transport modes in the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of escalation for transportation vendor related issues
  • Manage vendor operational excellence through data driven metrics
  • Implement and execute transportation strategies that support short and long term goals
  • Influence internal technical teams to drive multi-system process changes
  • Provide scalable solutions for continued growth
  • Set project requirements and drive agendas across internal and external teams
  • Daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers on operational and safety matters
  • Work with multiple stakeholder teams to develop and implement new best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in the operational environment internally and externally
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations across transportation operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields
  • 3+ years of transportation and supply chain experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Experience in managing international transportation (air, ground, ocean)
