About the role

AWS Managed Operations role focused on operating and scaling the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) for EU customers, delivering high-availability services and working with global AWS teams to improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).
  • Collaborate with global AWS teams to influence evolution of AWS services and technology.
  • Operate and improve one of the largest software systems in your team’s care.
  • Review operational health and write actionable bug reports when anomalies are found.
  • Execute changes following change management processes in production systems.
  • Help resolve backlog of operational issues.
  • Create scripts to speed root-cause analysis of hard problems and share with the team.
  • Occasionally participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents out of hours.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting, or experience in networking administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
  • This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state
