About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The role focuses on sourcing and supply management for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment within the Power & Cooling space, ensuring unconstrained supply at AWS scale while optimizing cost and flexibility. Located in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manages sourcing and supply chain strategies on a global scale
  • Drive the strategic aspects of large complex cross-functional projects
  • Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling
  • Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth at AWS scale in both the short-term and long-term horizons
  • Engage with global supply chain counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives
  • Partner with engineering teams to drive NPI initiatives and value-engineering initiatives
  • Drive innovation through the supply chain and influence industry practices
  • Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making
  • Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements
  • Manage supplier performance and allocation of material to demands based on priority
  • Be a subject matter expert for the customers, technologies, and markets in which you engage
  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
  • Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category
  • Requires travel up to 20% of the year

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking
  • 5+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including EUC, Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service, etc.
  • 5+ years of solving problems with technology in multiple industries (Healthcare/Life Sciences, Media & Entertainment, Global Financial Services, Telecommunications, Automotive & Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities)
  • 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of working with Advanced Compute technologies (Accelerated Compute, HPC, Visual/Spatial Compute, IoT)
  • 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies (Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, Cloud Operations)
  • 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, Storage)
  • 5+ years of in program management, workforce strategy development, or metrics-driven decision making experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences and present to executives
  • Experience leading complex, multi-year cross-functional initiatives
