About the role

Join our AWS team to maintain global cloud infrastructure, performing hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, and on-call duties to ensure data center availability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, respond to operational incidents impacting service availability, and conduct routine network, server hardware, and OS repairs to contribute to AWS service availability
  • Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
  • Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues
  • Help interview, train and onboard new team members

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience, or related IT experience
  • 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair)
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
