About the role

Senior cloud security architect for AWS Professional Services in Quebec, focusing on designing, implementing, and guiding secure AWS solutions for clients, with strong emphasis on security best practices, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Provide technical advice and problem solving assistance throughout the delivery of the project
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose strategies for using secure and effective services
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and the creation of reusable components

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
  • 3+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
  • 3+ years of software development with an object-oriented language
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution experience (AWS or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of implementation/consulting experience in a security-focused role with hands-on secure technical architecture and implementation work
  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles, policy enforcement, OS, web app security, OWASP Top 10, etc.
  • Strong fluency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ruby, TypeScript, C#, Java)
  • Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, GIAC)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technologies and vulnerabilities for securing cloud apps and ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience with application or infrastructure security design and modern mitigations (e.g., Zero Trust)
  • Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance, or valid Secret/Top Secret clearance
  • For Quebec: fluency in French and English
