About the role

Lead a team of engineers building systems and infrastructure for AI post-training data generation and quality assessment assets at Amazon Frontier AI Assets (FAI). Own technical direction, execution, and end-to-end delivery of scalable software that enables generation, processing, and management of high-quality AI training data for foundational models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical vision and execution for software systems that support FAI data generation and processing at scale
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, driving technical excellence and career growth
  • Drive architectural decisions for scalable, reliable systems that handle large volumes of data
  • Own end-to-end delivery of software systems, from design through deployment and operations
  • Partner with applied scientists and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Define and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with FAI organizational goals
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity
  • Lead cross-team initiatives and represent your team in engineering and business forums
  • Ensure operational excellence across all services owned by your team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
