About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The CPI team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces to optimize space, power, and cooling. The Project Manager oversees multiple disciplines and coordinates improvement projects in data centers.

Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.
  • Identify areas for improvement and act on data provided by other team members and organizations.
  • Design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
  • Direct, coordinate, and complete projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
  • Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
  • 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of critical data center equipment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and SOPs (preferred)
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA (preferred)
  • Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure (preferred)
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains (preferred)
