About the role

Solutions Architect focused on helping U.S. Department of Defense organizations implement cloud computing solutions using AWS technologies, owning technical engagements and enabling successful implementations for defense customers within the World Wide Public Sector practice.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, providing inputs to RFI and RFP responses, developing expertise in AWS technologies and how applications are constructed on AWS; be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
  • Collaborate with sales, business development, and ecosystem partners to educate and design cloud computing architectures for Defense Department customers.
  • Engage in executive-level discussions and presentations; perform whiteboard, and group presentations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
