About the role

Leadership role overseeing an engineering team focused on agentic platforms, APIs, middleware (MCPs), and React-based customer interfaces. Sets technical direction, drives delivery, quality, and operational health, and leads product, design, and cross-org alignment at Amazon-scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team including senior and principal ICs through complex technical challenges and make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed and long-term health.
  • Define and drive the technical direction for agentic platforms, APIs, middleware, and customer interfaces across platform boundaries.
  • Own end-to-end services from design through deployment and operational excellence, including performance, security, reliability, and on-call health.
  • Adopt latest GenAI coding tools to accelerate team velocity while maintaining code quality and security.
  • Partner with product managers to shape roadmaps and refine requirements; collaborate with design and peer engineering teams for scalable architectures.
  • Recruit, coach, develop engineers, manage performance, and guide design and architecture reviews.
  • Present team work and commitments to senior leadership and cross-org stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
