About the role

Commercially driven Vendor Manager to help shape a new category offer in Sydney, owning end-to-end vendor relationships across one or more categories from sourcing to performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end vendor relationships across one or more categories, including sourcing, range selection, commercial negotiations, contract management, and ongoing performance management
  • Build and manage a high-quality supplier base meeting Amazon's standards for quality, reliability, and commercial viability
  • Negotiate trading terms, pricing, promotional programmes, and supply agreements to deliver customer value and meet financial targets
  • Partner with Vendor, Instock, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to resolve supply constraints and deliver cross-functional outcomes
  • Analyse category and vendor performance data to identify opportunities, address underperformance, and drive improvements in commercial and operational health
  • Represent Amazon externally as a credible and trusted commercial partner and build long-term supplier relationships
  • A day in the life examples: review category performance, negotiate with suppliers, cross-functional planning, build business cases for new partnerships
  • Work with senior stakeholders to define how a new branch of the business operates in Australia

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
  • 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
