About the role

Technical Account Manager to support customers across ASEAN, acting as a technical advisor and voice of the customer to AWS product teams. Focus areas include Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, AI/ML, Application-level Services, Networking, Serverless, and more. Not a sales role; responsibilities center on technical guidance, operational health, cost management, and driving value from AWS for enterprise and start-up customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed prelaunch planning
  • Provide post-sales, consultative expertise within Enterprise Support
  • Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown bag sessions, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
