About the role

Area Manager responsible for leading a team of hourly employees in Rural & Speedy Rural (RSR) within Amazon’s Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) organization, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and on-time customer delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your team
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
  • Work in environments with variable noise, temperatures, and weather (outside loading, refrigerated environments as applicable)
  • Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
