About the role

Security assurance-focused role within AWS that helps customers design, build, operate, and secure cloud environments. Focuses on governance, risk, and compliance in migrating workloads to AWS, with an emphasis on scalable solutions, customer enablement, and assurance that regulatory objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise – Delivers in teams that include Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs
  • Solutions – Define innovative compliance and risk management approaches to help customers move sensitive workloads onto the cloud faster
  • Delivery – Resolve security assurance questions and manage risk and compliance while operating in AWS Cloud through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and hands-on demonstrations of automating compliance
  • Insights – Convey partner and customer feedback to AWS engineering, support and business teams for technology roadmaps
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • Knowledge of AWS services
  • 4+ years experience advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST frameworks
  • Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance, or valid Secret or Top Secret clearance
