About the role

Analyst role at AHEAD focused on turning ambiguous business questions into structured, hypothesis-led research and actionable recommendations at the intersection of technology, AI, and business. Independent end-to-end delivery, mentoring junior analysts, and contributing to knowledge assets and client-ready insights for CXO-level audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Translate pursuit, account and client questions into structured problem statements, hypotheses, issue trees and research plans; clarify scope, success criteria and timelines with stakeholders up front.
  • Apply consulting frameworks and structured thinking to break down complex problems, test hypotheses and arrive at defensible answers.
  • Exercise sound judgement when data is incomplete and always answer the “so what” with a recommendation.
  • Advisory engagements: deliver market insights, competitive benchmarking and strategic guidance that shape deal strategy and client conversations.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of items from the research product stack (Market Size & Outlook, Industry/Technology POVs, Account Intelligence Packs, Competitive Profiles & Battlecards, etc.).
  • Synthesize intelligence from primary and secondary sources into executive-ready narratives; track competitor strategies and translate into actionable pursuit positioning.
  • Analyze market dynamics across IT services, cloud/infrastructure, data & AI, cybersecurity, digital workplace, automation, and emerging tech to assess business needs.
  • Build account-level intelligence to support strategic planning, CXO engagement and opportunity identification.
  • Design and build dashboards and visuals; use AI tools to automate research workflows with human validation.
  • Convert findings into compelling CXO-level narratives and polished, brand-compliant decks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into hypotheses and concise research outputs.
  • Mentor and review work of junior analysts; contribute to reusable assets and CoE research agenda.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years in research, market/competitive intelligence, deal advisory or strategy/management consulting in large IT services/consulting firms (candidates from BPO industry not preferred)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Domain Expertise: Understanding of IT services/enterprise tech landscape (enterprise applications, cloud, infrastructure, data & AI, GenAI, cybersecurity) plus 1-2 vertical domains
  • Problem Solving: Structured thinking to break down open-ended questions and test hypotheses
  • Consulting Skills: Scoping, framing, storytelling, and recommending actions
  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Knime, Qualtrics is a plus
  • AI & Agents: Experience with generative AI tools in research or analysis workflows with responsible-use mindset
  • Judgment & Analytics: Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable insights
  • Reporting & Dashboarding: Power BI experience and advanced Excel; ability to build interactive dashboards and HTML dashboards
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; executive summaries and presentations
  • Research Proficiency: Experience with tier-1 analyst platforms and secondary research for competitive and market analysis
  • Curiosity & Ownership: Intellectual curiosity and ownership of deliverables
  • Organizational Rigour: Ability to manage multiple deliverables with tight timelines
  • Collaboration: Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Exposure to RFP/proposal intelligence or pursuit enablement is a plus
