About the role

Talent Sourcer in Tokyo, Japan, hybrid, full-time role within Notion's People department. Focused on building top-of-funnel GTM talent pipelines and shaping talent strategy in Japan, partnering with regional leadership to fill critical GTM roles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sourcing process from inception through successful close, ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers at every step
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and talent sourcing expert, leading successful searches across GTM roles
  • Conduct initial qualification screenings and casual chats with candidates to assess fit and build relationships
  • Collaborate with the broader team on process improvements, programs, and strategic initiatives
  • Lead talent branding initiatives, including organizing hiring webinars and publishing blogs and articles that feature our employees
  • Provide talent mapping and market insights to support local and global recruiting and hiring teams
  • Make informed data-driven decisions that build efficiencies into the sourcing process
  • Find creative and unconventional ways to help us build a diverse top-of-funnel for GTM roles across all levels
  • Help build and manage partnerships to bring more underrepresented talent to Notion
  • Advance our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (I.D.E.A) strategy, working to build more diverse and inclusive teams

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in talent sourcing or recruitment, whether in-house or agency, or relevant transferable skills from related fields
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools, with skills in Boolean and AI-powered searches (or eagerness to learn these tools)
  • Persistence, consistency, and attention to detail - you ensure a great candidate experience for all
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills; self-motivated and committed to excellence
  • Kind, warm, and thoughtful interaction with thousands of candidates each year
  • Contribute across the full scope of recruiting operations, from maintaining ATS and sourcing candidates to analyzing data and optimizing channels
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English
