About the role

Senior leadership role responsible for driving new merchant acquisition, growing first-year merchant engagement, leading the sales and account management team, and planning and reporting on sales targets and budgets for Bosta in Egypt.

Responsibilities

  • Win new merchants: Own the volume and revenue from new merchants against the plan; Build and manage the sales pipeline for each segment: key and strategic accounts, growth and expansion, and startups; Win back merchants who stopped shipping with Bosta; Work with Marketing to convert sign-ups into active, growing accounts.
  • Grow new merchants in their first year: Ensure every new merchant who qualifies gets an account manager soon after their first shipments; Set clear hand-over rules from sales to account management; Track retention of new merchants and intervene on drop-offs.
  • Lead and develop the team: Lead team leaders, salespeople and account managers; Set monthly sales targets and determine headcount within plan; Plan hiring with HR; Run the sales incentive scheme and manage performance; Maintain manageable team sizes.
  • Plan and report: Track pipeline, wins, target achievement and retention; Build yearly sales plan and team budget with Finance and HR.

Qualifications

  • 10 or more years in B2B sales or business development, ideally in logistics, e-commerce, payments or software
  • 5 or more years leading sales managers and large sales teams
  • Track record of beating new business targets and building teams fast
  • Strong with data and sales tools: CRM, pipeline reports and dashboards
  • Experience setting sales targets and incentive schemes
  • Fluent Arabic and English
