About the role

Frontend Software Engineer II within Affirm's Marketing & Privacy Engineering (MPE), MarTech pillar, building high-traffic consumer web experiences, instrumentation, and marketing integrations with a focus on privacy-aware web experiences and measurement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Break down larger projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics, articulating technical constraints, and evaluating risks and trade-offs.
  • Contribute to operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call duties.
  • Foster team community through growth and development activities, including participation in the interview process.

Qualifications

  • Total of 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with clear, well-tested, extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging others' code, and providing code review feedback.
  • Proven ownership of growth and seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
