About the role

Senior software engineer focused on front-end and API work within Affirm's Marketplace and App Experience domain, collaborating across mobile and web teams to enhance user journeys from the Home hub through product offers.

Responsibilities

  • Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in multiple phases with timely delivery
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ideate, articulate technical constraints, and weigh risks/trade-offs
  • Create and monitor metrics, support on-call and "keep the lights on" efforts for team artifacts
  • Contribute to team community through growth and development activities, including interview participation

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
  • Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native
  • Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python
  • Ability to design solutions that interact with multiple components and deliver clear, well-tested, extensible code
  • Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others' code, and providing code reviews
  • Ownership mindset with proactive feedback seeking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
