About the role

Senior Product Manager on Affirm’s International team focusing on consumer payments across international markets, driving strategy, execution, and growth of payments experiences while adapting to local needs and ensuring safe, cost-effective processing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution, growth, and scale of Affirm’s consumer payments products and experiences across international markets
  • Take Affirm’s payment experiences and adapt them for international markets by understanding consumer needs and local payment preferences, analyzing performance data, and iterating on the product’s features and capabilities
  • Drive success metrics by shipping high impact work and running experiments that improve the repayment experience, payment success, and processing cost
  • Partner effectively with engineering teams across the organization to drive product development and prioritization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Design, Research, Analytics, Finance, Partnerships, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, etc.) to shape your product roadmap and incorporate legal, governance, and regulatory oversight into your products
  • Understand Affirm’s international consumers at a deep level: what’s important to them, what drives their decision making, why they love Affirm, and what they wish we could do better
  • Identify and create the experiences that make it seamless for consumers to make and manage payments to Affirm, balancing customer needs, payment performance, cost, and risk

Qualifications

  • This isn’t your first rodeo. You’ve directly managed technical software products from kick-off to post-launch, driving meaningful business impact that you can speak to
  • Experience working on consumer technology products or payments
  • Comfortable diving into technical details with an engineer, iterating on a Figma with a designer, and breaking down a funnel with a data analyst
  • Discipline, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics with examples of securing decisions from senior stakeholders
  • Experience influencing engineering teams outside your direct purview to prioritize and build what you needed
  • Bias towards action and ability to navigate obstacles and blockers
  • Ability to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into a solid action plan
  • Experience shipping high-quality products on time
  • Comfort with commercial aspects of product development – connecting customer needs, product decisions, and business outcomes, and making clear tradeoffs
