About the role

Strategic Finance Intern to join the FP&A team, focusing on revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis for multiple markets and product lines within Lean.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Forecasting: Maintain inputs to the monthly rolling forecast, pull actuals, compare to assumptions, and flag divergences; Build scenario analyses (e.g., new market launch or product line) and present them; Create a one-page executive summary from forecast outputs.
  • Budgeting: Collect and consolidate budget inputs from business units during the annual cycle; Prepare monthly variance analysis vs. budget with top three drivers explained; Map one cost category to identify quantified savings; Test AI-enabled FP&A tools and document findings.
  • Financial Analysis & Management Reporting: Own the commercial deals tracker, reconcile with Sales, and flag deals risking forecast; Prepare assigned sections of the monthly management report; Conduct unit economics or profitability analysis on a product or client segment; Research evaluated markets and present recommendations; Build inputs and test pricing model scenarios.

Qualifications

  • Final-year student or graduate within the last 12 months, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets and ability to build a driver-based model from a blank sheet
  • Evidence of self-initiated analytical work (e.g., model, pitch, case competition, research project)
  • Clear writing with ability to explain numbers and movements in plain language
  • Proactive, follows through without being chased
  • Genuine curiosity about payments, open banking, or fintech
  • Advantageous: prior FP&A, corporate finance, banking, consulting, or startup internship; SQL or Python; progress toward CFA or ACCA
  • NB. Open to candidates who may not meet all requirements but have valuable experience and alignment.
