About the role

Senior Sales Engineer role in Illumio Japan focusing on building technical and executive relationships, delivering demos and POVs, and driving adoption of Illumio's Breach Containment platform in the Japan region with a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with technical and executive stakeholders in the assigned region to promote Illumio adoption
  • Conduct in-person and online presentations and webinars; represent Illumio at trade shows, events, and conferences
  • Understand customer business goals and drive all sales activities to align with those outcomes
  • Deliver effective demos based on use cases and customer stories
  • Support deal progression and POVs through in-person or remote engagements
  • Contribute to security industry thought leadership through blogs and white papers
  • Assist partners in enablement and deal execution to maximize mutual benefit
  • Provide feedback to product teams to influence future features and improvements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience in IT or cybersecurity
  • 2+ years of pre-sales or sales engineering experience handling enterprise accounts
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to understand customer business challenges and map to technical solutions
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
