Senior Designer, Brand Marketing
About the role
Senior Designer responsible for brand marketing work, from concept to delivery, within Deepgram’s Brand Studio. Collaborates across Marketing and the wider company, leveraging AI tools to accelerate exploration while maintaining brand craft and system standards.
Responsibilities
- Bring big creative ideas and high impact execution. Highlight the power of voice in Deepgram’s creative work.
- Take on full range of design work for a growing brand (e.g., event branding, environmental design, keynote presentations, production-focused tasks).
- Contribute to design challenges and parallel explorations, supporting chosen directions.
- Drive projects from brief to delivery by setting milestones, identifying next steps, surfacing risks and blockers early.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand goals and translate context into design aligned with Brand Studio direction.
- Execute within design system, brand guidelines, and templates (slides, data tables, campaign assets).
- Recognize high-visibility or precedent-setting work and seek creative leadership alignment.
- Collaborate with fellow designers, contractors, and other creative resources.
- Stay current with evolving design system and brand standards and help implement new standards.
- Use preference testing and available data to inform design decisions.
- Use AI tools to speed up exploration, iteration, and production while preserving brand and craft.
- Help the team experiment with AI-assisted creative workflows and share learnings.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or communication design (in-house at fast-growing technical B2B/SaaS or relevant agency).
- Portfolio with polished, production-ready work across print and digital, strong typography, hierarchy, spacing, color, and attention to detail.
- Experience working within and extending design systems and brand guidelines.
- Sound judgment on when to work independently vs. seek alignment; ability to escalate with context and proposed solutions.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to flag competing demands and trade-offs early.
- Clear, proactive communication about status, decisions, and risks.
- Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and ability to incorporate direction.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders while keeping design direction coherent.
- Proficiency in Figma (and Figma Weave), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Google Slides for presentations.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in a design workflow and understanding of when they help vs. when human craft matters most.
- Curiosity about how AI is changing creative work and ability to adapt processes as tools evolve.
