About the role
Software engineer role focused on Pixel device thermal software, including development of thermal management software, policy tuning, and data-driven optimization for Pixel devices.
Responsibilities
- Enhance SoC platform and device thermal bring up.
- Develop operating system thermal management software, including Tskin, Tj, userspace API and frameworks.
- Establish and improve thermal KPIs (lab and field) for key use cases.
- Collaborate with internal and external partner teams to improve thermal on future hardware architectures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Shell) for executing thermal stress tests and simulating user workloads. Create tools for automated data logging, parsing, and analysis of temperature, power, and performance data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., C/C++).
