About the role
Software Engineering Manager responsible for leading a cross-platform Android and iOS team within the Google Photos Growth organization, defining technical direction, growing new users, and managing a team across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with cross-functional peers such as Product and UX to define goals and strategy for growing and activating new users on Google Photos.
- Define and influence technical direction and long-term strategy in conjunction with peer leads, prioritizing engineering excellence investments.
- Manage an engineering team across Android and iOS including formal career management and coaching to help the team grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
