About the role

Role focused on leading a high-performing team to ensure global operational readiness for major events and crises, managing end-to-end policy escalations for YouTube, and coordinating cross-functional responses to emerging escalations while enforcing Community Guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring global operational readiness for major events, emerging crises, and high-impact incidents.
  • Manage end-to-end policy escalations by triaging, investigating, resolving, and tracking complex cases with internal tools; evaluate cross-product escalations for regulatory risk and enforcement actions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on YouTube’s Community Guidelines; drive policy and process improvements across multiple policy areas.
  • Build cross-functional product expertise to accelerate resolution times; collaborate with Engineering to build preventative tooling and conduct postmortems to stop future systemic failures.
  • Review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and YouTube Partner Program policies; draft and review executive communications; land sensitive policy decisions regionally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.
