About the role

Senior Software Engineering Manager position focused on leading the Emergent AI Infrastructure team in Google, based in Warsaw, Poland, with responsibilities spanning hardware/software strategy, team mentorship, and cross-continental collaboration to build on-prem AI infrastructure for Frontier models and AI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Warsaw site teams responsible for adapting and creating hardware and software for new Emergent AI products in close collaboration with other hardware and software teams in the cloud.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing strategic guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Partner closely with tech leads, tech lead managers, and engineering managers across the organization to deliver high-impact results.
  • Navigate distributed operations across the US, Asia, and Europe, guiding engineers as they collaborate across continents to build a brand-new AI Infrastructure product.
  • Involve in hardware/software strategy and support of external customer needs and issues with the product.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
