About the role

Software engineer role focused on Google Wallet onboarding and communications, building user-facing features, shared components, and collaborating with PM/UX/Data Science to measure and improve user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build the experiences that help users get started with the Google Wallet app and discover what else it can do.
  • Design and launch user-facing features for Google Wallet, build shared components that other Wallet teams can use, and work closely with Product Managers (PM), UX and Data Science to measure and improve what users see.
  • Work across client and server as needed, and take part in the team's oncall rotation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with coding languages like Java, Kotlin etc.
  • 2 years of experience with Android and backend services development.
  • Experience launching user-facing mobile features end to end.
  • Experience building components or platforms used by other teams.
