About the role
Software Engineering Manager responsible for technical leadership and people management of a team building user-facing gaming products within Google Play.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical, product and strategic leadership for a team building user-facing gaming products.
- Work on team development, coaching, execution and overarching strategy.
- Participate in the full life-cycle of new modules/features. Shape product strategy, understand product requirements, contribute to system design, coach Software Engineers to implement and land these features.
- Represent your team to other teams at Google, finding collaborative ways to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
